Facebook has been in news for some time now. It stood as a topic of discussion for quite some weeks. There has been an attack on Facebook data and about 533 million users became a point of attention. Their data was leaked without their knowledge and due to this, they have faced issues. This recent hack has affected the users in a personal way. The sensitive and personal information of users was all over the web and was a big threat to them.
The attack by the hackers was very serious.
They were a real threat to all the users’ information. Facebook was dumbstruck as to how and what has happened. The hackers had also taken the number of Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg which was discovered to be linked to a signal messenger account. All the other threats were also very major as the users’ passwords were published online. This revelation could have led to a major miss happening. The hackers were not even scared as to what they were doing.
Facebook was criticized for its security measures and also for poor functioning. They were also blamed for not taking proper steps to keep safe the users’ information and data online. The users were just advised to change their passwords for further security in their social media accounts.

But the users were still seen complaining about the safety measures taken by Facebook. The users were not even notified about the hack just to protect their overall image. The online users were kept blindsided by the attack and they knew nothing about it what has happened. No notifications were sent to the users about the attack.
Any kind of official notification or message was not sent from the side of the social media handle Facebook. It is a very big loophole in the functioning of such an app which has a huge amount of user interaction on daily basis.

What is “plug the hole”?
Currently, Facebook was said to “plug the hole” where the breach occurred to stop threat actors from gathering any further information besides the leaked data of 533 million users online. Almost about 533 million users’ trust was broken by Facebook in terms of security as no proper security measure is there to protect the data of their users.
Moreover, it is the indisputable duty of the app to inform all its users about any attack from hackers or any breach in the information. Normally apps have notified or addressed their users but the Melon Park giant has no intentions to do so.
The company is now getting threats and continuous criticisms for not handling the matter professionally. People are raising their voices and speaking against the app and are ready to boycott Facebook and its other apps.
The users are seeing a raising voice on Twitter as they have permanently removed their accounts from the Facebook app. The hackers have badly attacked Facebook users and all its privacy concerns creating a huge mess for Facebook.
