Every year almost approximately forty million lightning strikes are seen striking the ground in the United States. This is, of course, dangerous but the chances of really being struck by the lightning are overall less than one in a million in any given year and luckily almost ninety per cent of all the light striking victims do survive.
A recent piece of news has struck the minds of people. A man from the United Kingdom was struck by lightning too while playing on PlayStation in his living room and this bizarre incident happened.
The man was seen struck by the lightning even while he was in his living room playing and enjoying fully on his PlayStation.
Aidan Rowan is the person we are referring to here. When struck by the lightning he was rushed to the nearest hospital for all the emergency measures to be taken.
He was suffering from blisters and burns due to the light striking. He also reported that he kind of felt a heavy sensation of heat throughout his body after he heard a loud crack.
It wasn’t easy for him to get back into his consciousness which took almost a minute for him. After which he went upstairs where he asked for the help of his partner. He asked for a wet towel to help him heal all the burns he was feeling on his arm.
Even his partner was all shocked and puzzled by the weird odor of the burnt flesh which had been caused due to the direct lightning strike on his body. Even when he was taken to the hospital, his arm was still burning and blistering from all the effects of the lightning strike.
Here what’s Rowan said?
Rowan said, “I was rushed to an assessment room, and they said it looked like a lightning strike. Nine doctors from various departments came to examine me and I was put on a heart monitor and given blood tests.” Aidan Rowan after all that happened now has a long scar on his right arm and not only this but a stardust-shaped burn on his right hand too.
Doctors have reported that the lightning might have bounced off the water and immediately through the window it struck him hard. This could have happened because the hot weather may have hardened the ground causing the rainwater to collect there.
Rowan has also seen sharing a post on his social media account precisely Instagram where he posted his pictured and captioned it well. The caption was ‘So, I am absolutely not one for sympathy posts, I had to share this because of how insane it is.’ And he continued by writing
‘I was happily playing #stray on #PlayStation when there is a loud bang and I feel a heavy jolting sensation.
5 hours at the hospital confirmed that I was STRUCK BY LIGHTNING through the open window! Never going to play cute cat games during a thunderstorm again. I’m fine, just very sore, hell of a headache and burn strips down my arm.’ So, during the next lightning remember to not stay near any kind of windows, doors, walls or even porches.
